Jeffrey K. Thomas was born in Salt Lake City to Ray and Carol Thomas, and Nancy Thomas was born in Salt Lake City to Harold and Marie Hymas. Jeff and Nancy met in high school and married four years later, after he completed a mission for the Church in Chicago.
Jeff earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Utah in electrical engineering and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Early in his career he worked in aerospace for Hughes Aircraft and for Boeing, then moved into computer technology with Hewlett Packard, and ultimately into medical instrument technology, leading IDEXX’s R&D for many years.
